CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT DETAILS

  • Check into The Sanctuary on Friday, February 1st any time after 4pm

  • Check-in with Synchronicity on Friday, February 1st any time between 4pm – 5:45pm. The Sanctuary staff at check-in will direct you to check-in with a Sync team member. You will receive your binder for the weekend, including detailed itinerary, map, and Institute of Functional Medicine Comprehensive guide (recipes and directions included).

  • When you arrive at the Kiawah Island gate, tell the gate staff that you are staying at the Sanctuary until Sunday. They will give you a pass.

  • There is free on-site parking at the hotel.

  • *Please note that your payment to the retreat covers your room and all applicable taxes. However, it does not cover incidental fees that may occur during your stay. All incidentals will be applied to your credit card on file.

 

FAQs

Can I bring a spouse even if they are not participating in the weekend?

Yes. You can bring a spouse and they are welcome to enjoy all the amenities that The Sanctuary at Kiawah has to offer. You are welcome to spend time with one another during breaks; however, they will not be able to join us for meals, workouts, and workshops.

 

What if I have dietary restrictions?

If you have any dietary restrictions, please let Alyssa Boyle know at aboyle@thesynclife.com by noon on Monday, January 28th.

 

Will I be tired or sluggish when I first begin?

You may experience symptoms such as headache, fatigue, bloating, and decreased energy within the first week. This is completely normal and even expected. Your body is going through caffeine and sugar withdrawal as well as clearing out toxins and organic substances.

 

Is there anything I can do to prepare for the cleanse prior to February 1st?

  1. Begin to decrease caffeine consumption one week prior. For example, if you drink 2 cups of coffee a day – start by cutting down to one cup a day and then to half a cup.

  2. Begin to clear out your pantry of processed, refined foods. In addition, clear out any foods that may pose temptation or be a barrier to your success.

 

What should I wear?

  • Friday – Casual

  • Saturday morning - Athletic clothing (tennis shoes optional)

  • Saturday afternoon and evening – Casual

  • Sunday morning – Athletic clothing

 **Note: Please bring a light-weight jacket or sweater to each activity

Do I need a yoga mat?

If you plan to participate in yoga activities, please bring your own mat.

 

What is there to do during our break on Saturday?

You will have a break from 1pm-6pm on Saturday. There are many amenities at the Sanctuary, Kiawah including the unparalleled spa, golf courses, and private beach. These extra amenities are not included in your weekend stay and must be booked separately. Below is a list of suggested amenities and contact info to book. You really can’t go wrong!
