Harness the benefits of plant-based eating during this cooking class where Sync Registered Dietitian, Lauren Zimmerman, will demo a variety of quick and healthy meals. In addition, you will learn strategies on how to incorporate more plants into your lifestyle, including what key foods and nutrients to include most days in order to achieve optimal physical and mental well-being.
Join us in the Sync kitchen for this special fundraising class where all proceeds will benefit AMOR Healing Kitchen, a local non-profit whose mission is to provide nutritious, plant-based meals made with love by teen volunteers for people facing health challenges. Chef Kayla, Culinary Director of AMOR, and Synchronicity Registered Dietitian, Lauren, will lead this healing cooking class as we prepare 3 AMOR recipes – Taste the Rainbow Sushi, Sesame Noodle Bowl, and Coconut Rice Pudding with berries.
AMOR’s core beliefs are using food as a tool for recovery, empowering teens by teaching culinary and leadership skills, educating the community, supporting local farmers, utilizing organic ingredients, and making connections within the community to build a positive foundation for the future.
Whether you help take care of someone who is sick or are looking for a few healthy recipes to add to your repertoire, this is a class for an incredible cause that you won’t want to miss!
