Shopping List

We will be making 2 oatmeal recipes, each with two servings.

We recommend you enjoy one for breakfast the morning of class, and the other we will set in the fridge to enjoy the following day.

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3.5 cups milk of choice (recommended soymilk)
  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder (optional)
  • 5 Tb chia seeds
  • 1 Tb pure maple syrup (additional 1-2 TB to taste)
  • 2 cups strawberries (from frozen, thawed for morning of)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Olive oil for coating baking sheet

Kitchen Supplies

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing spoon (x2)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Blender or immersion blender
  • Medium sized saucepan
  • Medium sized Tupperware or 2 mason jars for holding cold oats
  • Chef’s knife
